Traffic Alert: lane restrictions at Crestmont Dr.

Waterline replacement planned ahead of TxDOT street rehab work

EL PASO – Beginning Monday Nov. 4, Mesa Street will be narrowed to two lanes overnight for southbound traffic between Crestmont Drive and Mesa Hills Drive. The project will last approximately four weeks as El Paso Water replaces an aging water line ahead of the Texas Department of Transportation’s project to rehabilitate Mesa Street.

Lanes will be closed overnight from Sunday through Thursday between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. All lanes will open after 6 a.m. to accommodate rush-hour traffic.

This project is part of El Paso Water’s efforts to improve and enhance the reliability of our water systems while taking advantage of TxDOT’s street rehabilitation plans.

For more information about this project, residents can contact El Paso Water Project Manager Fred Hernandez at (915) 258-9376.
