Lane restrictions at N Cotton St at Atlanta

El Paso Water to replace water and wastewater lines to improve area reliability

EL PASO – El Paso Water has begun replacing 1,225 feet of water line and 980 feet of wastewater line on N. Cotton St. between Atlanta and Denver avenues. This project is part of El Paso Water’s efforts to improve and enhance the reliability of our water systems.

Traffic on N. Cotton St. is currently reduced to one lane each way and in Phase 2 it will be reduced to just one northbound lane. Street parking is restricted; however, access remains open to homes and businesses. Temporary fill will cover open trenches until permanent street repairs are made.

As part of our standard neighborhood construction outreach, EPWater contacted local school and district personnel and provided notices to neighboring homes and businesses. The work is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2020.
