Traffic Alert: Partial Lane Closure on Lee Trevino

Stormwater Improvement Project to Increase Public Safety

EL PASO
- Beginning January 25, Lee Trevino will be partially closed near the intersection of Sam Snead as part of the Sam Snead Storm Drain Improvement Project. This closure consists of two phases and is expected to last about three months.

Phase 1 of the closure includes the southbound lanes of Lee Trevino. Traffic will shift to the northbound lanes, with two lanes remaining open to northbound traffic and one to southbound traffic. This closure will last about six weeks.

Phase 2 will close the northbound lanes of Lee Trevino and shift traffic onto the southbound lanes. Two southbound lanes will remain open to southbound traffic and one to northbound traffic. This closure also will last for about six weeks.

Drivers should follow all traffic control signs in place and should find an alternate route if possible.

The Sam Snead Stormwater Project will improve flood control and increase public safety by diverting water from neighborhood streets into the stormwater system.
