Between Executive Center Boulevard and Spur 1966
EL PASO – Starting Monday January 23, El Paso Water is closing the westbound lane of Paisano Drive from Spur 1966 to Executive Center Boulevard next week to connect a new water line. In an effort to reduce the impact on drivers, EPWater is doing the construction now in conjunction with nearby closures of Paisano for the Border West Expressway project.
- The westbound lane from Spur 1966 to Executive will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Monday, Jan. 23 and is expected to re-open Friday, Jan. 27.
- The eastbound lane provides two-lane traffic up to Spur 1966, which allows access to UTEP. But drivers will not be able to progress west on Paisano past Spur 1966. After 4 p.m., the trench will be covered with steel plates and Paisano's westbound lane will re-open to traffic.
This project is part of EPWater's efforts to rehabilitate aging water lines to improve service to customers. Construction is planned in daytime, off-peak hours to reduce the impact on drivers.
