The summer sandbag distribution schedule ends Sunday, Oct. 1, when EPWater closes the four regional sandbag sites.
The sandbag sites in the west, central, east and Mission Valley areas of the city will close at 8 p.m. Oct. 1 and reopen in summer 2018. Effective Monday, Oct. 2, sandbags will be distributed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Stormwater Operations Center, 4801 Fred Wilson Ave.
Sandbags are available for flood control purposes only and limited to 10 sandbags per visit. Persons who have difficulty lifting heavy items are encouraged to come with someone who can assist with loading and unloading the bags.
